However, after restarting the laptop, the pro controller would no longer communicate with toshiba's bluetooth stack my pressing the sync button. I then configured my buttons so I could play video games with it. Using the express settings, I was able to pair my Wii U pro controller with the laptop and with the help of the pc program (version 1.6), I was able to control my PC with the controller.
Using the method in this thread: (fishsticks post), I was able to install toshiba bluetooth stack on windows 8. My computer has an on-board bluetooth adapter.
